A study of reproducibility of kinesiology tape applications: review, reliability and validity

Abstract Background Literature addressing the mechanical properties of kinesiology tape is quite scarce. There are no studies which focus on the mechanical characteristics of kinesiology tape, its mechanical properties, nor its adherence following the ISO international standard test methods for tape elongation. Methods This study quantified the mechanical characteristics of 380 samples of kinesiology tape from 19 different brands and in 4 different colors using a dynamometer. Patient-specific simulation of the intrastromal ring segment implantation in corneas with keratoconus

Purpose The purpose of this study was the simulation of the implantation of intrastromal corneal-ring segments for patients with keratoconus. The aim of the study was the prediction of the corneal curvature recovery after this intervention. Methods Seven patients with keratoconus diagnosed and treated by implantation of intrastromal corneal-ring segments were enrolled in the study. International audience; This chapter examines the way that black and white illustrators came to terms with the industrial use of photomechanical processes and the major changes that occurred in the reproduction of illustrations from the 1890s to the early decades of the 20th century. It explores how handbooks on illustration and illustrators’ autobiographies reflected the need to preserve the so-called “vitality” of the graphic line, an autographic trace of the artist’s gesture.
